Maximize Die & Mold Manufacturing Success with Toyoda’s new Stealth VB315 Vertical Bridge Mill
Toyoda Machinery’s new VB315 vertical double column bridge mill is by far the most versatile large workpiece machine for job shops today. Featured during IMTS 2016, the die mold power-house is known for its capability in powerful cuts and high-speed machining. Machining speeds reach 6,000 RPM on the gear-head, CT50 spindle at 6,262 Nm of output torque alongside the Stealth’s robust cast-iron headstock for high revolution accuracy, thermal stability and maximum vibration dampening.
Boasting a 2.5 second tool change without ATC door, Toyoda’s VB315 vertical bridge-type machining center tackles heavy cutting, while tackling 3 axis machining. Heavy duty linear guides and ballscrews allow for up to 22,000 lbs. of rigid machining. A boxway style Z-axis assures cutting stability and five spindle bearings aid in consistent production of exact finishes, idea for roughing out mold cavities and general machining.
Low energy consumption is also a key feature on the VB315 due to a specially designed hydraulic counterbalance system. Toyoda’s new VB315 double column bridge mill is designed to grow with shops, evolving technology and machining advancements of the manufacturing. Hand milling, tight tolerance and perfect surface finishes are valuable capabilities required for successful die and mold machining and achieved only by Toyoda’s Stealth VB315.
