Toyoda's high-performance spindles support heavy and hard cuts while suppressing vibration and runout from the lowest to highest spindle speeds. The spindle design also features four bearings at the front of the spindle; a double row of cylindrical roller bearings located over the taper to provide radial rigidity, and dual angular bearings to maximize axial stability. The 8,000 RPM, 1,202 Nm (886 ft-lb) spindle is available in the FH-SX series horizontal machining centers - bringing an extraordinary amount of speed and power to the machining process.

SOLID MACHINE CONSTRUCTION FOR HARD METALS

Toyoda machines are designed to offset the intense heat and high cutting forces generated when manufacturing heat resistant super alloy like titanium. Since machining these challenging metals requires about two times the power that's needed to machine low-alloy steel, having these powerful machines on the shop floor factors into the supplier's overall manufacturing costs, and ultimately, determines the profitability of machining hard metals.
