MANUFACTURING’S MUST-SEE MAY EVENT: TOYOTECH 2019 TOYODA TO HOST 5 AXIS MACHINING EXPO – SHOWCASING HARD METAL MACHINING, AEROSPACE ENGINEERING & SMART MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (April 4th, 2019) – JTEKT Toyoda Americas Corporation’s TOYOTECH 2019 will be held May 14th through 16th, 2019. The biennial event brings together machinists, operators, and manufacturing leaders alike – showcasing the newest machining, application, and tooling innovations for hard metal operations and complex aerospace components. Toyoda Americas and industry partners will also demonstrate how to optimize production capabilities through automation and smart manufacturing platform solutions in anticipation of the industry’s latest revolution: Industrial Internet of Things a.k.a. Internet of Everything.

In addition to having 12 machines on site with multiple live demonstrations running throughout the event, industry partners and influencers will host a variety of learning sessions. Toyoda will close the event by celebrating with live entertainment and happy hour. Stay tuned as more information will be released at a later date!

FEATURED MACHINES

Horizontal Machining Centers:

    • FA1050 5 Axis Trunnion Boxway HMC | Supported by a trunnion table, the machine excels in heavy workpiece applications thanks to dual-drive mechanisms with high-resolution rotary encoders that ensure precise positioning during simultaneous five-axis applications.
    • FH630SX-i 5 Axis HMC | Best-in-class, this machine offers the highest 630mm-class material removal rate in the industry of 4140 material utilizing Toyoda's proprietary high-torque spindle and the latest HMI control system – an ideal solution for complex part machining.

Vertical Machining Centers:

  • UA2090Ti 5 Axis VMC | Using a tilting head for five-axis machining, the high-performance UA2090Ti is specifically engineered for large part machining of Titanium and Hard Alloy components.
  • FV1165 Heavy-Duty VMC | Featuring an aerospace component demo, the FV1165 is a heavy-duty vertical machining center with four Y-axis box guideways, a Meehanite cast iron base, and a high-performance spindle for greater flexibility.

Bridge Machines:

  • SB316YM Double Column Bridge Machine | The SB316YM will demo the five-face head performing heavy duty milling and drilling on an interpolated plane with vertical and right angle head diagonal power cutting. The machine features a geared head spindle or highspeed options with five-face/right angle capabilities.
  • Stealth VB215 Fixed Rail Bridge Machine | This fixed rail bridge machine is designed for heavy cutting applications with a hydraulic counterbalance system on the headstock and a powerful spindle for highly precise and accurate cuts without sacrificing speed.

Grinders:

  • TG4 Twin-wheel Modular Grinder | The TG4 is a programmable, universal grinding machine with automatic wheelhead indexing allowing multiple possible configurations. The machine features the patented TOYODA STAT® BEARING for accuracy and grinding longevity and Toyoda’s newest Toyopuc Touch HMI control.
  • GL4i Switch Grinder |Made for dedicated processes in a high-production environment, this machine boasts a hydrostatic wheelhead bearing and way system, patented TOYODA STAT® BEARING, a floating plate for high accuracy and positioning, and Toyoda’s newest Toyopuc Touch HMI control.

Takisawa Taiwan Turning Centers:

  • Takisawa Taiwan VTL450 Vertical Turning Center| Designed for mass production with reduced cutting times for automotive parts such as brake discs, brake drums, hubs and valves, the series features a heavy-duty box-shaped bed and for high-rigidity and stability.
